Waiver Policy
The Journal of Stem Cell Therapy and Transplantation (JSCTT) is dedicated to fostering the dissemination of innovative research in stem cell therapy and transplantation. We believe that financial constraints should not prevent researchers from publishing their valuable work. To support authors with limited funding, we offer a waiver policy that allows eligible researchers to request a reduction or exemption from Article Processing Charges (APCs).
Eligibility for Waivers
The JSCTT waiver policy is designed to assist authors who lack institutional or external financial support. Waivers may be considered for:
- Researchers from low-income and developing countries, as defined by international economic organizations.
- Early-career scientists and independent researchers without access to institutional funding.
- Authors facing financial hardship who can provide supporting documentation.
Each waiver request is assessed on an individual basis to ensure fair access to the journal’s publishing platform.
Waiver Review and Approval Process
The editorial board of JSCTT carefully evaluates all waiver applications. Approval is granted based on the applicant’s financial need, institutional affiliation, and the availability of funds allocated for waivers. Authors will be notified of the decision within a reasonable timeframe.
Partial Waivers
In some cases, a partial waiver may be granted instead of a full exemption. The percentage of the waiver is determined by financial constraints and the funds available for the waiver program.
How to Apply for a Waiver
Authors who wish to request a waiver must submit a formal application to the JSCTT editorial office at [email protected]. The request must include:
- Full name and institutional affiliation (if applicable).
- The manuscript title and submission ID (if available).
- A detailed explanation of financial constraints, along with supporting documentation.
Authors are encouraged to apply for waivers at the time of manuscript submission to avoid delays in the review and publication process.
The JSCTT is committed to ensuring that all researchers, regardless of financial limitations, have the opportunity to contribute to advancements in stem cell therapy and transplantation. For further details, please contact our editorial office.
