Plagiarism Policy
Ensuring Research Integrity and Originality
The Journal of Stem Cell Therapy and Transplantation (JSCTT) is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity by ensuring all submissions are original, ethically conducted, and free from plagiarism. Scientific credibility depends on transparency, honesty, and proper attribution of research, which we strictly uphold.
Plagiarism in any form, whether direct copying, self-plagiarism, improper paraphrasing, or data fabrication, is strictly prohibited. JSCTT follows ethical publishing standards to foster innovation and authentic scientific contributions in stem cell research and regenerative medicine.
Plagiarism Detection and Screening
All manuscripts submitted to JSCTT undergo strict plagiarism screening using tools like iThenticate and Turnitin. These tools ensure originality by comparing submissions against a vast repository of published literature, scientific databases, and web content.
The journal takes the following precautions:
- Analyzing submitted manuscripts for text similarities and citation integrity.
- Verifying originality and ensuring proper attribution to prior research.
- Detecting self-plagiarism and redundant publication.
- Checking for manipulated, falsified, or duplicated data.
Submissions exceeding a similarity index of 15% (excluding references and common scientific phrases) will be returned to the authors for revision. Manuscripts containing severe plagiarism will be rejected outright.
Forms of Unacceptable Plagiarism
The following unethical practices are strictly prohibited:
- Direct Plagiarism: Copying text, figures, or data from another source without citation.
- Self-Plagiarism: Republishing one’s own previously published work without proper citation.
- Improper Paraphrasing: Rewriting another author’s work without acknowledging the source.
- Data Fabrication and Manipulation: Falsifying research findings or altering experimental results.
Authors are responsible for ensuring that all references, concepts, and research findings used in their manuscripts are properly credited to the original sources.
Consequences of Plagiarism
Plagiarism is a serious violation of publishing ethics, and JSCTT enforces strict penalties for authors who engage in it:
- Immediate Rejection: Any manuscript containing plagiarism will be rejected without further review.
- Author Blacklisting: Authors found guilty of plagiarism may be banned from future submissions.
- Retraction of Published Articles: If plagiarism is detected post-publication, the article will be removed from the journal’s archive.
- Institutional Notification: In severe cases, the author's affiliated institution may be informed of the misconduct.
JSCTT reserves the right to take necessary actions against any unethical practices in submitted research.
Author Responsibilities
Authors submitting to JSCTT must adhere to ethical publishing guidelines by:
- Ensuring their research is original and properly cited.
- Verifying that all authors have contributed significantly to the work.
- Refraining from submitting the same manuscript to multiple journals simultaneously.
- Properly crediting all data sources, figures, and prior studies.
Authors are encouraged to conduct plagiarism checks on their manuscripts before submission to ensure compliance with ethical research standards.
